Ingredients:

1. 1 cup granulated sugar
2. 1 cup water
3. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4. 1/2 cup cocoa

Method:

Add the sugar and water to a saucepan. Stir and cook until the syrup reaches a
full boil. Remove from the heat.
Add the cocoa a little at a time, whisking steadily as you add the powder. Press
the hot syrup through a fine strainer. Add the extract. After sitting for a few
minutes, you are likely to have a scum on the top. Skim it off. Cover and store in
the refrigerator.
